BIM LEARNING APPLICATION FOCUSED ON LCA QUALIFICATION AND TECHNIFICATION OF WORKERS IN NATURAL STONE SECTOR
PROJECT
The essence of the BIMstone project is to combine the most common methodologies for the placement of stone products in order to create a training curriculum that provides an additional qualification to be integrated into the digital era, for both VET students and professionals in the sector, in order to satisfy the main objective of the project: provide the necessary contents to overcome the lack of properly trained personnel in the natural stone sector.
The digitisation of the methodology gathered in the research and its online implementation in the Open Educational Resource (OER) means the offer of a large digital space that provide the user with all the necessary information to achieve an optimal, efficient and sustainable use of stone products.
The confluence of BIM, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and digitisation of stone products placement methodologies give an innovative nature to BIMstone project.
OBJECTIVES
The general aim of BIMstone project is to increase the skills of workers in the field of placing the stone products, particularly in placing different type of floors and walls in buildings and urban environments, in order to enhance the quality of the final work, the permanence of the work and the environmental sustainability, by using methods without non-recyclable and/or non-ecofriendly materials, through an interactive tool that includes methods to give greater merit to academic promotion.
